Gillies Party Wall Surveyors was founded in 2020. Specialising simply in Party Walls. Providing an honest, bespoke service to contractors, architects, developers and private owners.
About Me
Raised in a background of construction, contractors and property professionals, I have a First Class Honours Degree from Anglia Ruskin University on a Part 1 ARB and Part 1 RIBA prescribed Architecture course. This enables me to better understand and advise architects in Party Wall matters.
I designed and built my own house, giving me hands on knowledge of the building process and an understanding of potential nuances of the construction process, as well as undertaking training by the Faculty of Party Wall Surveyors. I can sympathise with the frustration often felt by Building Owners, Architects and Builders that often occurs during the Party Wall process and often as a result of misunderstanding the requirements of the Party Wall etc. Act 1996, I aim to alleviate these frustrations and provide a smooth service with clear explanation and a hand held process from start to finish.
As a member of the Faculty of Party Wall Surveyors and the Pyramus and Thisbe Learned Society, you can be assured that my knowledge of the Act and the nuances within, remains up to date with relevant processes and case law.
